About the Treatment

Light-Based Renewal for Tone & Texture

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) delivers precise wavelengths that target hemoglobin and melanin—the “reds and browns”—to address sun damage, freckles/age spots, broken capillaries, facial redness, and fine lines. Energy is delivered non-ablatively (upper skin layers remain intact) while encouraging fresh collagen below the surface.

  • Improves discoloration and diffused redness
  • Minimally invasive with little to no downtime
  • Collagen-supportive for smoother, brighter skin
Suggested Series
3–5 treatments
Face; body areas may need 4–6
Timing
Every 3–4 weeks
Who It Helps

Great For

  • Sun damage, freckles, and age spots
  • Facial redness, broken capillaries, telangiectasia
  • Uneven tone/texture and early fine lines

Note: Darker complexions or hair/skin types with very high melanin may not be ideal candidates for IPL. We’ll evaluate your skin in consultation.

  • Expect temporary redness; brown spots may darken before flaking.
  • Avoid direct sun for 1 week; wear SPF 50 for at least 2 weeks.

FAQ

Common Questions

IPL uses broad-spectrum light with filters to target pigment and redness, while lasers use a single, specific wavelength. IPL is non-ablative and excellent for color correction and overall brightening.

You may see darkened spots (“coffee grounds”) that flake off over several days. Most redness resolves within hours to a day.

Social downtime is minimal. You can typically resume normal activities the same day, avoiding heat and sun exposure briefly as noted in aftercare.

We typically recommend a series of 3–5 sessions for the face, spaced every 3–4 weeks. Body areas may require 4–6 sessions.
