About Neuromodulators

A neuromodulator is an injectable drug that relaxes and softens the skin by restricting facial muscles from contracting. This results in reduced or erased wrinkles, decreased oil production and facial contouring to provide a younger, refreshed appearance. Neuromodulators act as a muscle relaxant. After being injected with a neuromodulator, the targeted muscles will have decreased or no movement. It will take about a week for them to relax, and the effects can last 3-4 months.

Neuromodulators are appropriate for reducing the appearance of certain conditions such as aging or sagging skin. Areas treated include: crow’s feet (wrinkles around the outer corners of the eyes), frown lines, forehead folds, 11's & vertical lip lines (above the top lip). Neuromodulators can also be used to "lift" the brows, relax a "gummy smile" and give a fuller appearance to the top lip (Lip Flip).
